The short version: Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your income, loan amount, investments, and every other input you type never leave your device. We don't log it, store it, sell it, or send it anywhere.
Data we do not collect
When you use any calculator on Jivantax, every calculation happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter are used only to display results on your screen. We do not transmit those numbers to our servers or to any third party.
Specifically, we do not collect: your income, salary, CTC, investment amounts, loan details, PPF/NPS balances, tax deductions, HRA, dates of birth, PAN, Aadhaar, or any other personal or financial information.
Data we do collect
We use privacy-respecting website analytics to understand which pages are popular and where users come from. Analytics captures aggregated, non-identifying information such as: the page you visited, your general region (country/state — never street-level), device type, and referring source. Analytics is set up so it does not use tracking cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you across the web.
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs standard web-server information (IP addresses, timestamps, request paths) for security and abuse-prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to identify or profile individual users.
Cookies
Jivantax does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or personalisation. We may use a minimal functional cookie or local storage entry to remember your preferences (for example, tax regime toggle state) — this data stays on your device.
Third-party services
The site loads Font Awesome icons from a public CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). No personal data is transmitted to this CDN — only a standard file request.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracker.
Data you choose to send us
If you email us via the contact page, we receive your email content and address. We use this only to reply to you and don't add you to any list without your explicit opt-in.
Children
Jivantax is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the homepage or via a banner.
