About Jivantax

Free, honest, privacy-first financial calculators for Indian users.

Why Jivantax exists

Most Indian financial calculators live behind lead-gen walls, ads, or a sign-up form. You're trying to find out your take-home salary — and instead you're handing over your phone number to a broker.

Jivantax exists because Indian households deserve clean, accurate, private financial tools. Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs never touch our servers. We don't collect your income, your loan amount, or anything else you type. There are no ads. There is no sign-up. There is no upsell.

What Jivantax is

  • 24 calculators covering income tax, mutual funds, loans, PPF/NPS/SSY/SCSS, capital gains, TDS, GST, gratuity, retirement and the basics.
  • Latest rules. Budget 2025 tax slabs, Budget 2024 capital gains rates, current small-savings rates for Q1 FY 2026-27.
  • Comparisons and guides. Deep-dive articles like Old vs New Regime, Section 80C Explained, and the Indian Tax Calendar FY 2026-27.
  • A working glossary of 60+ Indian personal-finance terms in plain English.

Who runs Jivantax

Nagendra Gadamsetty

Founder, Jivantax

Nagendra founded Jivantax to build the financial calculator he wanted for himself — one that respects your time, your data, and your intelligence. He researches Indian tax law, small-savings schemes, and investment products directly from primary sources (the Income Tax Department, the RBI, PFRDA, and Ministry of Finance publications) so every number on this site can be traced back to the rule that produced it.

Our editorial approach

Every calculator is built and reviewed against primary sources — the Income Tax Act, Finance Bill provisions, RBI monetary policy statements, PFRDA circulars, and quarterly small-savings rate notifications. We update rates the same quarter they change.

Every guide is dated. If Budget 2026 revises a slab or the PPF rate moves in a quarterly notification, the affected pages are updated within a week. If we get something wrong, we correct it visibly and add a note.

What we don't do

  • We don't collect your personal or financial data. Ever.
  • We don't run banner ads or interstitial popups.
  • We don't sell your details to loan brokers, insurance agents, or investment advisors.
  • We don't give personal financial advice. Everything here is educational.
